Nancy Lopez Golf
The Nancy Lopez Golf line was introduced to the Canadian market in September 1998
by Tournament Sports (TSM). The equipment line included clubs, bags, gloves and
accessories. In 2006, TSM introduced an exclusive Lopez apparel line in Canada to
compliment the golf equipment offering. In November 2006, TSM acquired the global
rights to the Nancy Lopez Golf brand. Nancy Lopez Golf Inc. was formed as a wholly
owned subsidiary for the Company’s operations in the U.S. market. The Nancy Lopez
Golf brand will be re-launched in the U.S. in January at the 2007 PGA Merchandise
Show in Orlando, Florida.

At the core of Nancy Lopez Golf is a commitment to provide choice to the woman golfer
in the selection of golf equipment and apparel.
The Lopez product line offers full sets, individual woods, sets of irons, hybrids,
wedges and putters. No other golf equipment company offers this level of choice
to the woman golfer. However, the commitment doesn’t end with the product line.

Operations
Nancy Lopez Golf operates from a head office in Waterloo, Ontario Canada. Operations
and distribution activities are fully computerized on an IBM AS400.
Ownership
The Pinnacle Group, an investment firm formed by Kim Bauer in 1983, is the majority
owner of Nancy Lopez Golf. Antigua Group Inc. owns a 25% interest in the Company.
TOURNAMENT SPORTS
Tournament Sports is a privately held Canadian company involved in the manufacture
and distribution of golf, skate and curling products. The Company was acquired in
January 1986 and currently operates four business units.
The Curling Company
The Curling
Company markets curling shoes, gloves, brushes, apparel and accessories under the
Tournament and Ultima brands. The Company sells to curling distributors, curling
clubs and sporting goods stores throughout North America. The Company also exports
to distributors in Europe. Curling was Tournament’s core business when it was acquired
in 1986.
Jackson Ultima Skates
Tournament
entered the skate business in February 1986, through the acquisition of Don Jackson
Figure Skates. The Company manufactures and markets figure skates under the Jackson,
Ultima, Softec and Glacier brands to skate specialty stores and sporting goods retailers
throughout North America. The Company markets figure skates internationally through
distributors in Europe and Asia.
Tournament Golf
Tournament Golf
was founded in 1989 as an extension of the Company’s core sporting goods business.
The Company has exclusive Canadian licensing or distribution agreements with Antigua
Sportswear, Etonic Golf, Bridgestone Golf and Tour Edge. In late 2006, Tournament
Sports expanded its Canadian distribution by acquiring exclusive global rights to
Nancy Lopez Golf. This division markets golf products to on-course pro shops, off-course
golf specialty stores and selected sporting goods retailers.
The Corporate Pro Shop
Tournament’s
Corporate Division was established in 1993 to service the demand for quality branded
golf products for corporate promotions and event marketing. The Corporate Pro Shop
serves traditional golf retailers who resell to Corporations and the Premium and
Incentive industry. Each Business Unit operates on a relatively autonomous basis
with the support of a Service Group that includes Operations, Accounting, IT and
Creative Services Departments.
Operations
Tournament Sports operates from a head office, warehouse and manufacturing facility
of 65,000 square feet in Waterloo, Ontario. Operations and distribution activities
are fully computerized on an IBM AS400. Tournament Sports employs a staff of 50
in sales / marketing, administrative and distribution operations. Tournament’s manufacturing
operations include the following capabilities:
- Figure Skate Boot manufacturing
- Embroidery of apparel, headwear, golf bags, luggage and accessories
- Assembly of golf clubs including custom clubs
The Company employs a staff of 18 involved in manufacturing operations.
